OHIONET is a library membership organization of academic, public, school and special libraries in Ohio, West Virginia, and western Pennsylvania.
OHIONET is also one of seventeen national regional service providers of the OCLC Online Computer Library Center, a global library cooperative headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, with more than 50,000 libraries in 84 countries and territories around the world. OHIONET's partnership with OCLC provides libraries access to OCLC cataloging, resource sharing, and preservation services.
In addition to providing OCLC services, OHIONET has a long history of partnership with libraries and information providers to build strategic alliances. OHIONET works with the State Library of Ohio, the Ohio Library Council, OhioLINK, INFOhio, OPLIN, and Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science to explore opportunities for pooling resources to address the library and information needs of all Ohio citizens.
