Library Leadership Ohio Scholarships for K-12 and Special Libraries
OHIONET would like to announce the creation of a scholarship for one K-12 librarian and one special librarian to attend Library Leadership 2012.
As the only multi-type, state-wide library consortium in the State of Ohio, it is important to us to develop the strong future of our state's libraries, and to increase the communication and cooperation among libraries of every type. We have been working with the State Library and the Ohio Library Council since 2009 on the issue of Library Leadership in Ohio, and we are pleased to see these efforts coming to fruition.
However, the greatest success of our endeavors will be measured not by the passing of Library Leadership 2012; it will be in the accomplishments achieved by the attendees of this class. We know that strong representation from our K-12 and special library communities will be vital in that success. To that end, we would like to make that representation a financial possibility for a librarian from one K-12 library and one special library who might not otherwise afford to attend.
