Eastern Gateway Community College was founded in 1966 as Jefferson County Technical Institute, serving the residents of Jefferson County, and is now becoming one of the fastest growing colleges in the nation.

Servers. We all have them! Scattered away throughout our libraries, servers of all types help keep our libraries accessible and useful for both patrons and staff. However, as much as any other type of computers, these need to be updated as well. Given the Shellshock* and Heartbleed* vulnerabilities that have been reported in the last few months, it seems to be a never-ending job!
October is a busy month for Ohio's health sciences librarians.
In addition to the MLA Midwest Chapter Conference October 11th - 14th in Fargo, North Dakota, the Ohio Health Sciences Library Association (OHSLA) will hold its annual fall meeting at Summa Hospital in Barberton on October 24th (registration deadline is October 16th). This fall, OHSLA is marking its twentieth anniversary - congratulations OHSLA members!
