OHIONET Is Proud of Its Award-Winning Libraries and Staff

Several OHIONET member libraries and staff have been recognized by The Ohio Library Council (OLC) through its Awards and Honors program.

The 2012-13 honorees demonstrated outstanding leadership and remarkable dedication to providing the best library service to their communities.

They will receive their awards at the Awards and Honors Luncheon on Oct. 9 at the OLC Convention and Expo.

The recipients of the 2012-2013 Awards and Honors include:

Library Innovation Award: Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL) - Community Library, Sunbury; Blanchester Public Library; Cardington-Lincoln Public Library; Germantown Public Library; Mt. Gilead Public Library; Selover Public Library, Chesterville; Worch Memorial Public Library, Versailles; Wornstaff Memorial Library, Ashley; and Arcanum Public Library

Hall of Fame Librarian: Celia Huffman, Cuyahoga County Public Library (retired)

Supportive Staff Member of the Year: Margaret Simon, Shaker Heights Public Library

John Philip Outreach Award: Elizabeth Hatton Zuelke, Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Trustee/Board of Trustees Award of Achievement: William Shkurti, Trustee, Upper Arlington Public Library

Ohio Friends of the Library Recognition Award: Friends of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County
