OHIONET is pleased to host the Consortium of Ohio Libraries (COOL), which is Ohio's first Evergreen ILS consortium, funded in part through an Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio. Spearheaded by the Community Library (Sunbury), the COOL group is currently comprised of:
By choosing an open source ILS, COOL members are able to perform their normal cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, and serials work, while having the flexibility to develop new functionality as the group evolves. These libraries are also using Evergreen as a union catalog, with shared cataloging services, so they will be able to streamline their acquisition time from selection to shelf and benefit from easy resource sharing among consortium members.
For more information about COOL, read the FAQ or contact Matt Polcyn at OHIONET (firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-686-8975, ext. 27).
