Systems Librarian
The systems librarian will administer and manage the Integrated Library System (ILS from Innovative Interfaces) and all other library systems. The systems librarian will work with library, IT and vendor staff to ensure the satisfactory operation of all library systems and assist the library director with technology planning and project planning.

The person will serve on University and OHIOLINK committees and participate in professional development opportunities. The person will report to the director of Heterick Memorial Library. The person will supervise one full-time assistant and offer reference help one night per week and one Sunday in five during the academic year.
Qualifications - Required:
·MLS/MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program with experience in a similar position managing III integrated library system, other platforms and computer operations.
·Excellent organizational, analytical and communications skills;
·Strong commitment to responsive and innovative service and a desire to master new technologies and remain current;
·Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing;
·Demonstrated ability to work with library staff in a team environment and make technology understandable and appealing to staff and patrons.
·Demonstrated experience in project management and training;
Qualifications – Preferred:
·Experience in developing and maintaining web presence including the WebPAC.
·Experience with content management system such as ContentDM
·Experience with database management systems such as SQL Server/Cold fusion,MySQL/PHP
·Familiarity with library technology standards and protocols such as MARC format and indexing functions; FRBR, Z39.50, OAI/PHM, RDA.
·Familiarity with WAM, digital library tools and standards, RSS Web 2.0 etc.
Library Description:
The mission of the library is to provide the institution's undergraduates and faculty with resources, services and facilities to support their educational endeavors. The 75,000 sq. ft. Heterick Memorial Library was opened in 1968 and expanded and renovated in 2000. Facilities include individual and small group study carrels, study rooms and classrooms.
The building has wireless service throughout and over 300 power and network connections. Two computer labs, with 32 machines are available on a walk-in basis. The Spar/Wintzer Music Media Lab provides computer facilities for music students.
The library is a member of OhioLINK, a statewide resource-sharing network which provides access to collections state-wide.
The library maintains POLAR, the university's on-line catalog, and provides access to over 200 databases, more than 8979 electronic journals, and a growing number of electronic books. The local collection of some 275,000 volumes is supplemented by efficient interlibrary loan services and resources from other OhioLINK libraries.
