The Early Literacy Station™ (ELS)

Alternative Work Environments, Inc. (AWE) has announced the release of Version 4.0 of the Early Literacy Station™. All shipments of the Early Literacy Station™ Version 3.0 have been replaced with Version 4.0 starting the week of June 4, 2007.

Along with the release of Version 4.0 comes a 25% increase in the number of educational software titles that are pre-loaded on the station. This now gives you 34 educational titles instead of the 26 previously included with the system.

You will also notice there has been a modest price increase instituted by AWE for the Early Literacy Station™. This is the first price increase for the ELS in more than two years. OHIONET offers a better discount to our members than the educational discount price AWE offers to qualifying libraries, day care centers and schools. Your negotiated price is reflected on the order forms which can be found on our website by following the links below. AWE is also offering the Early Literacy Station Bilingual Spanish™ unit at discounted prices. This pricing is also listed on the OHIONET order form.

OHIONET/Computype Pre-Printed Bar Code Label Price Increase

Computype is raising prices for the first time since 2002. You will still receive the same great quality barcode label, but it will cost slightly more this year. This Communique supersedes any previous Computype price list.

OHIONET/Computype Bar Code Label Price Sheet and Order Form

You do have an option, however!

Computype is now offering a digital barcode label that is less expensive than the photographic image. You can get this bar code label with a color bar if you prefer. Standard colors are available in blue, red, yellow, green, orange and purple. Please see the attached sample sheet, or if you would like a sample of the barcode, email: jill@ohionet.org

Computype/OHIONET also offers Patron Cards or Combination Patron Card & Fobs. Fobs can also be ordered separately. In some cases, the minimum quantity needed to place an order has been lowered.

If you are ordering from OHIONET for the first time, there will be a one-time-only $25.00 set up fee for bar code labels and patron cards. Existing customers will not pay this fee. Nor does it apply to DVD/CD labels (TS915, TS864).

A one-time-only programming fee of $210.00 will be charged for a new format. Computype has hundreds of formats available. If your library requires a proof before printing, there will be a charge of $86.25.
