OHIONET Affiliations
Since its creation in 1972, OHIONET has collaborated with many library organizations to bring quality products, services, and information resources to the Ohio library community. Successful collaborations include OHIONET partnerships with these library organizations:
ALAO
ALAO is the Ohio chapter of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and is a section of the Ohio College Association (OCA).
INFOhio
INFOhio, a statewide cooperative school library and information network, uses technology to ensure curriculum and instruction of information literacy by providing greater access for Ohio's learners and educators. INFOhio's components include electronic resources for schools, instructional development for teachers, library automation, media booking, and a statewide union catalog.
OCLIS
OCLIS is the Ohio Council of Library and Information Services organizations. The Board of OCLIS consists of representatives of the member organizations who meet three times a year to facilitate communication among Ohio library organizations and local chapters of national organizations within the state.
OELMA
OELMA is a professional organization dedicated to educational, literary, and technological excellence in library/media services in Ohio's schools.
Ohio Library Council
The Ohio Library Council (OLC) is the statewide professional association which represents the interests of Ohio's public libraries as well as their trustees, Friends and staffs.
OhioLINK
OhioLINK is a state-funded consortium of Ohio college and university libraries and the State Library of Ohio. Students, faculty, and staff affiliated with OhioLINK institutions can request books online, view journal articles online, search authoritative databases, and make use of other services that enhance research and education.
OPLIN
OPLIN (the Ohio Public Library Information Network) provides all Ohio residents fast, free public Internet access, as well as the use of high-quality research databases not freely available on the World Wide Web, through Ohio's 251 local public libraries.
State Library of Ohio
The State Library exists to provide access to information for Ohio's state government, lead and partner in the development of library services throughout Ohio, enable resource sharing among libraries and library networks, and provide specialized services to Ohio's citizens.
