Alibris for Libraries
Alibris (pronounced “uh-LEE-briss”) is the premier online marketplace for independent sellers of new and used books, music, and movies, as well as rare and collectible titles. Alibris connects people who love books, music, and movies to thousands of independent sellers around the world. Their proprietary technology and advanced logistics allows them to offer more than 100 million used, new, and out-of-print books to consumers, libraries, and retail business partners. Alibris was founded in 1998.
Libraries use Alibris for Libraries as a primary source for out-of-print titles, older in-print titles, and large replacement and collection-development projects—as well as a source for unfilled and canceled firm orders. Because Alibris for Libraries accepts library purchase orders, guarantees the condition of each book, offers easy returns, and offers comprehensive and personal customer service, libraries can select and order books with confidence.
OHIONET member libraries are invited to take advantage of special Alibris for Libraries discounts, which may be used on multiple qualifying orders. Just compile an order of at least $100, and enter the appropriate monthly code during checkout from http://library.alibris.com.
Members can take advantage of this monthly coupon for $10 off orders of $100 or more and are then invited to use a coupon all during that and subsequent months at will.
