From the services, resources, and programs we provide to how we create and market them, copyright considerations are all around us as information professionals. However, if you work in K-12 libraries, the issues you face can complicate matters exponentially. Plan to join us for the day-long, in-person workshop to give you the foundation you need to feel more confident in your understanding and application of your rights and responsibilities in our complex information landscape. Our day of learning will include hands-on activities and plenty of time to discuss specific questions or scenarios.
Attendees to this session will have the opportunity to
- Review the basic concepts of copyright
- Discuss the exceptions for face-to-face classroom instruction
- Explore the concept of fair use and the reuse it offers for educators
The schedule for the day includes an hour-long break for lunch on your own.
