Ohio Legal Help is a new online resource with material vetted by attorneys and guided by authoritative organizations. It has a user-friendly guided process to help patrons find the information and forms they need. In this session, you will learn how this resource can help your patrons find easy-to-understand legal information, access local legal assistance, and download a wide variety of legal forms.

 Attendees to this session will have the opportunity to

  • Discuss the variety of information available and how it was compiled
  •  Explore the easy-to-use, guided interface
  •  Gather suggestions for using and promoting this new, free resource

Presenter Background

Susan Choe

Susan Choe is the Executive Director of Ohio Legal Help. Before her current role at Ohio Legal Help, she served as the Deputy Director & General Counsel at the Ohio Access to Justice Foundation where she managed the development of Ohio Legal Help starting in 2016. Ms. Choe has extensive experience in leading statewide and multistate initiatives. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Choe served as Chief of the Ohio Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Section and Civil Rights Section. Ms. Choe currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Columbus YWCA and as Co-Chair of the Advisory Board for the Columbus Chapter of the American Constitution Society. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and received undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Economics from The Ohio State University.

Rachel Harris

Rachel manages the creation of content for Ohio Legal Help. This includes working with our expert lawyer volunteers - from legal aid and the private bar - to ensure that our content is accurate, actionable and easy to understand. Before joining Ohio Legal Help, Rachel honed her writing and organizational skills in multiple roles specializing in grants, contracts and proposals. Rachel has a B.A. in English from the University of the South 

Megan Sheeran

Megan is a Reference Librarian at the Upper Arlington Public Library. She received her MLIS degree from Kent State University. She enjoys tricky research questions, teaching patrons new search strategies, and presenting about online privacy.
