This session will review the history and mechanics of copyright law in the United States. Copyright questions are common in library land and staying up to date with details and current legal requirements is essential. We strongly recommend attending this session as a foundation for the remainder of the series.
Attendees will discuss what is/isn’t copyrightable (including exceptions!), ownership and duration of copyright, author's rights, and infringement pitfalls.
Attendees of this session will have the opportunity to:
