Unlock the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in libraries at OhioNet’s in-person summit, AI Alchemy: Libraries Growing Smarter. Hosted at the State Library of Ohio, this event blends the transformative power of AI with the timeless principles of library service, offering a unique opportunity to explore how AI is reshaping our work, enhancing user experiences, and fostering community growth.

Inspired by the ancient art of alchemy—where the goal was to transmute base materials into gold—this summit will guide you through the process of transforming data into actionable insights, merging traditional practices with cutting-edge technology.

Highlights include:

  • Keynote Speakers Justin Bumbico and Michaela Herrick from Columbus Metropolitan Library sharing expert insights on the evolving role of AI in today’s libraries.
  • Vendor Panel showcasing leading technology providers offering AI solutions for libraries.
  • Practitioner Panel where library professionals discuss real-world AI applications and lessons learned.
  • Hands-on Practice Building a Program to help you gain practical experience and confidence in working with AI tools.
  • AI Ethics exploring the ethical considerations for implementing AI in library services.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore AI or already looking for more innovative ways to incorporate it into your library’s offerings, this summit will provide practical tools, thoughtful discussions, and inspiring ideas. Together, let’s turn the raw capabilities of artificial intelligence into the gold standard for modern library services.
