Adjunct – Reference/Instruction Librarian
About this Job
- Responsible for face-to-face and virtual research assistance to the College Community
- Provide assistance and troubleshooting for basic computer and software issues
- Teach engaging library instruction sessions for assigned courses in both virtual and live classrooms
- Lead virtual workshops to improve student information literacy and research abilities
- Use technical skills and understanding of current best practices to create user-focused, accessible, multimedia learning objects and web resources
- Serve as back-up assistance for the circulation desk
- Complete other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
- Minimum Master's Degree in Library Science (will consider qualified candidate within 9 hours of MLS degree completion)
- Working knowledge of academic online resources, computing technologies, and Microsoft Office products
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to act effectively as a member of a team
- Ability to develop and complete projects without continued direct supervision
- PreferredPrevious library instruction or teaching experience in an academic environment
- 2 years of working experience in a library
- Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and life experiences
- Experience with basic html and CSS for use in Springshare products (e.g. LibGuides) and other web resources
- Familiarity with library assessment tools and ability to evaluate results in order to effect ongoing improvements to library services and resources
