About this Job

The Audiovisual Archivist is responsible for managing, storing, using, and interpreting audiovisual collections and ensures that the practices that guide their work adhere to organizational standards for ethics, cultural responsiveness, and equity.

Salary

48320 - 52500

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Library Information and Science from an accredited university OR equivalent work experience in a related field and a minimum of five years experience working reference and/or with collections in libraries, museums, or a related field. Five to seven years of equivalent work experience plus one year of direct work experience in a library or archives will be considered in place of the degree or experience requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of current audiovisual collections best practices.
Experience curating and managing audiovisual collections.
Experience creating and delivering public programs on a variety of platforms.
Experience with collections management software such as Archivespace.
Ability to use Microsoft Office software suite and database programs.
Familiarity with two-dimensional scanning materials, such as documents and photographic materials.
Experience with cataloging standards and vocabulary
