Branch Youth Services Librarian
About this Job
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager and with oversight from the Youth Services Coordinator, the Branch Youth Services Librarian is responsible for providing and promoting library resources and services to persons of all ages, with a focus on children ages birth through teens, and performs a variety of duties including actively assisting in collection development and planning and implementing programming for children and teens.

Required Qualifications
MLS or MLIS from ALA-accredited university is required. Consideration will be given to candidates actively enrolled in the MLS/MLIS program with proof of current enrollment.
Coursework emphasis on children’s and teen literature and development as well as programming for youth is preferred.
Experience working in public library setting is preferred.

Located adjacent to the Madison Local Schools and just east of downtown Mansfield, the Madison Branch is one of our busier locations and provides multiple opportunities to engage with youth of all ages. The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible and have a strong understanding of child and teen development and interests in order to provide appealing programs and build strong community relationships.
