Children's Librarian with Pre-Teen Focus

MILS from an ALA-accredited institution of higher learning or proof of current enrollment in MLIS program is required.
Coursework emphasis on children's literature, programming and education is preferred.
Documented experience working with children; work with Pre-Teen aged children preferred.
Basic computer proficiency
Reliablility and above average work attendance with ability to work flexible schedule including day, evening and weekend hours.

Duties:
Under general supervision, the Children's Librarian is responsible for providing library services to persons of all ages, especially children from birth through early teens with a focus on Pre-Teen aged children; also oversees the Children's Department when the Manager is not available. This is a new position. Collaborate with our Children's Team to build and grow a system-wide Pre-Teen program!
