Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus one year of library experience or equivalent of education and two years relevant experience. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership abilities, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of Library of Congress classification system preferred. Includes some evening and weekend hours.
Wilmington College is accepting applications for the position of Circulation Coordinator in the Watson Library on the main campus. This is a full time, non-exempt position.
The Circulation Coordinator provides hands-on service, planning, and supervision of circulation services and operations including hiring, training and supervision of student workers. This position maintains patron records in the Sierra integrated library system; generates and monitors all departmental statistics and reports; oversees circulation related inventory including office supplies. This position works with little supervision to provide excellent customer service and administrative support to library staff. Additional responsibilities include:
- Participates in OPAL/OhioLINK/OCLC consortia circulation meetings.
- Maintains displays of information, books and bulletin boards.
- Answers incoming calls.
- Maintains student worker handbook.
- Maintains library room reservations.
- Assists patrons with locating materials in library and usage of computers, copiers, and microfilm.
- Other duties as assigned.
