Continuations and Streaming Media Specialist

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; 600 hours training in library practices and procedures (or six months of experience.) 100 hours training in management/supervision (or one month experience); or equivalent.

At least one year of experience in purchasing or accounts payable.  Knowledge of accounting principles. Strong prioritization, organization and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal skills with an aptitude for effective collaboration; Experience using Microsoft Office products, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel or equivalents such as OpenOffice or Google Docs/Google Sheets.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in library acquisitions, serials, or with academic electronic resources; Knowledge of or experience using financial systems such as Peoplesoft or Workday. Experience working with vendors to place orders, troubleshoot, and solve problems related to orders and/or invoices. Familiarity with troubleshooting resource access issues; Experience with an integrated library system, particularly from Innovative Interfaces.

Responsible for establishing orders and solving complex problems concerning subscriptions for all continuation materials including print journals, online journals, databases, electronic books and streaming video. Serves as a primary resource for correspondence with vendors and publishers. Verifies order data, confirms subscriptions and resolves problems for outstanding orders. Processes cancellations, ceases and dealer changes. Receives, reviews and resolves invoicing issues. Maintains vendor information in integrated library system. Collaborates with supervisor, other staff in the Electronic Resources Management Team, staff in Acquisitions, Libraries Business Office, Bibliographic Initiatives and Collections Strategy. Provides high level of customer service. May supervise students and staff, as necessary.
