About this Job
Wittenberg University, a leading liberal arts college located in Springfield, Ohio, seeks an innovative, transformative, and strategic leader to assume the directorship of Thomas Library. Wittenberg is committed to attracting and retaining highly qualified individuals who collectively reflect the diversity of our student body and society at-large. The successful candidate will expand and improve existing facilities to engage students and faculty and will continue the transformation of the library into an academic learning commons that will support a wide range of academic and student support services. This individual will be responsible for library operations and management of the facility, including technology, equipment, and budgetary needs. This position reports directly to the Provost and will work closely with Academic Affairs to develop a strategic plan for the library that aligns with on-going institutional initiatives.
Salary
Starting at $80,000
Required Qualifications
ALA accredited MLIS degree or equivalent; demonstrated managerial experience of library staff or experience managing a signature library project or initiative; demonstrated experience with library strategic planning and program development.
Desired Qualifications
Five or more years of professional library experience in an academic setting with a record of advancement; successful experience with fundraising or grant writing.
