Qualifications and Characteristics of the Successful Candidate:
- Master’s degree in library science
- Minimum of three years experience in all aspects of library reference and collection development and library instruction
- Working knowledge of OPAL and OhioLINK
- Experience with content management systems
- Familiarity with Sierra Circulation module (or similar)
- Strong teaching skills, organizational skills and prioritization
- May require some travel and weekend hours.
Watson Library Wilmington College invites applications from, and nominations of, qualified candidates for the position of Head, References Services and Library Instruction Coordinator. This is a full time, exempt level position reporting to the Director of Watson Library.Watson Library houses the College Archive and Special Collections (Society of Friends historical collections and records deposited with the library by the Wilmington Yearly Meeting and the Ohio Valley Yearly Meeting). These unique collections contain rare documents, photographs, books and maps related to local and Quaker history.

This position coordinates reference and research services for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community patrons. As Library Instruction Coordinator, designs, schedules, and implements library instruction through lectures, web-based tools, and other instructional methods.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with collection development, database management, overseeing student workers, and facilitating Quaker research and maintaining Quaker meeting records and collection.
