Health Sciences Librarian (non faculty)

Master's degree in Library Science required; demonstrated ability with technology, including ability to create web based and multi-media instructional modules; degree, course work, experience, or demonstrated knowledge of evidence based practice and/or information literacy; demonstrated ability to complete complex literature searches required; familiarity with health sciences databases required; requires successful completion of a background check; candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
With guidance from Head, Research and Education Services and other faculty librarians, this position participates in the design and implementation of library instruction in the health sciences, including the development and maintenance of online guides and/or videos that apply the concepts of evidence based practice and information literacy; provides in-depth research consultations with faculty, staff, and students; performs complex literature searches in support of systematic reviews and other research endeavors; records personal statistics related to instruction and consultation activities; participates in library strategic initiative activities, which may include research impact, clinical education, undergraduate education, open access, data management, and others; acts as an interim liaison to an assigned health sciences college or department; attends library departmental meetings.
This position is an hourly unclassified administrative and professional position, working daytime hours Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, eligible for full benefits. Preferred start date is early 2020. Salary range is $19 - $21/hour.
