About this Job

Denison Libraries seek a part-time Library Associate I to serve as the public face of the library on nights and weekends at the library circulation desk. You will supervise student workers, use library software to run reports and manage processes, and convey crucial knowledge of library policies and procedures. You will help manage conventional library materials, including course reserves, interlibrary loan, media equipment, printers, copiers and scanners. The circulation desk staff provide initial screening for library users having problems with public workstations and printers. You will also contribute to the library’s programs, goals and objectives as you act with integrity, invest in relationships, care for the community, pursue growth and learning and embrace diversity. This is an entry-level staff position with specific hours that must be filled during the academic year: Sundays 10 am-3 pm; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 pm-midnight; Saturdays, 4 pm-Midnight. This position is off during school breaks.



Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant work experience.

Desired Qualifications

Two years of relevant work experience or some college coursework.
