Makerspace Technology Associate
Organization:Medina County District Library
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Network Administration and a minimum of three (3) years IT experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have working knowledge of computer hardware repair, hardware maintenance, software configuration; analytical abilities and experience in troubleshooting and help desk support; have excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to learn and teach the use of electronic library resources. Previous experience with 3D-printers and makerspace equipment preferred. Work involves lifting up to 25 pounds of material on occasion, bending, stooping, and stretching (with or without accommodation).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:
Medina Library is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly individual to join our team to provide makerspace services to library members of all ages. Set to open in autumn 2019, the makerspace will include 3D printer and scanner, laser engraver, sewing machine, large-format printer, and more tech tools for creating and making. Candidate must establish and maintain effective working relationships with library staff and the public; plan and present informational programs to complement our makerspace services and equipment; provide makerspace-related customer service and training for the public and staff; work with Technology Department to maintain makerspace software and hardware; contribute to makerspace reports and statistics; and other duties as assigned.
