Project Archivist (part time, term)
About this Job
Special Collections and Archives, Kent State University Libraries seeks a Project Archivist to perform archival appraisal, arrangement and description of archival collection(s) held by the unit. This position will complete processing work as outlined in the unit’s processing plan for the collection(s) included in the project. The Project Archivist is a temporary, part-time position funded through June 30, 2023 for the initial phase of the project. May be renewed, depending on funding availability, for future phases. Maximum of 24 hours per week.
Salary
$21.00/hour
Required Qualifications
MLS, MLIS, or MS from an ALA-accredited program of library and/or information science
Experience in processing archival collections.
Desired Qualifications
Coursework in archival administration
Prior work experience in a special collections/archives setting
Demonstrated knowledge of archival arrangement and description practices
Record of completing complex projects with time constraints
