Reference and Instruction Associate/Librarian

The salary range for the position is $40-$45,000.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

MLS or MLIS from an ALA- Accredited program preferred.
A Master's from a related program and relevant experience will be considered.
Recent graduates and those within nine credits of MLIS degree completion to be completed within 12 months of hire will be considered.
Prior reference and instruction experience in a library setting is preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong commitment to customer service.
Skilled in providing proactive and innovative library services, especially with regards to reference and research assistance, library instruction, and liaison work.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills, instructional skills, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable in information literacy theory and practices.
Familiarity with current and emerging library technologies including integrated library systems, discovery tools, research databases, and Springshare LibApps.
Proficient in the use of general and subject-specific print and electronic reference resources.
