Senior Budget/Financial Analyst
About this Job
The University Libraries is seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, analytical, detail-oriented individual to join its Finance and Administration team. The Senior Budget/Financial Analyst will report to the Libraries Director of Finance and Administration and will be responsible for financial analysis and modeling to support decision making, financial reporting, data collection, and the budget process. This position will also support the University of Nebraska Consortium of Libraries (UNCL) in these areas. In addition, the Senior Budget/Financial Analyst will serve as the liaison between the Libraries and the Big Red Business Center (BRBC) and communicate financial procedures and information to Libraries employees.

Salary
$52,000 minimum
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
3 years of related, progressively responsible accounting and/or budget preparation experience.
Excellent analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Suite and Adobe.
Ability to interact with a group of diverse people through written and verbal communication.
Financial analysis/modeling experience.
Data collection and management experience.
Accuracy and attention to detail while still seeing the big picture.
Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent listening skills.
Ability to analyze problems and make sound judgments.
Strong analytical skills including the ability to prepare and interpret financial forecasts, models and analyses.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Understanding of business processes
Desired Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in business or closely related field.
Experience working in SAP.
Experience working with financials in an academic setting.
Reporting, presentation, data visualization experience.
Knowledge of SAP in an academic setting
