Youth Services Coordinator
About this Job
This position creates, implements, and presents agency and community programs for youth as well as youth-related programs for parents, caregivers, and teachers. The Youth Services Coordinator also maintains the youth collection, provides technology assistance, reader’s advisory services, interprets the Library’s policies and procedures, and regularly serves as the designated staff-in-charge. The successful candidate is required to attend continuing education opportunities to stay current in the field. They must possess/acquire knowledge, skills and abilities to work effectively with staff, local schools and our community.
Salary
$40,000 - $50,000
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field centering on children or an equivalent level of knowledge, skills, non-degree education and experience working with children will also be considered. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to carry out the principal duties and responsibilities of the job after the initial orientation and training period.
Desired Qualifications
Children’s programming experience and in-depth knowledge of children’s literature, classic and modern, is highly desirable.

The Brumback Library seeks an enthusiastic, creative, and community-oriented Youth Services Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing and delivering programs, services and resources for children and young adults, ages 0-18, to encourage lifelong reading, learning and library use.
