Call for Proposals — Presentations on Library Communications and Outreach

Event Name: OhioNet Communications and Outreach Summit
Event Date: April 22, 2026
OhioNet invites proposals from our members to present at our upcoming Library Communications and Outreach Summit on April 22. This in-person event, hosted at OhioNet in Westerville, will explore the ways libraries can communicate their value, engage users, and build meaningful connections through outreach.
We are looking for individual presentations that highlight the following, or similar, topics:
- Successful and/or unconventional program promotion
- Outreach to underserved or hard-to-reach communities
- Communicating library value to stakeholders
- Social media, websites, and digital engagement
- Crisis communication and managing change
- Partnerships and community collaboration
Proposal Guidelines:
- Title of Presentation: A concise and engaging title.
- Abstract: Up to 250 words summarizing the content of your presentation and its relevance to the summit.
- Presenters: Name, title, and affiliation of proposed speaker(s).
- Format(s) of presentation you would be willing to accept as a speaker:
- Panel session participant
- 10-minute lightning round presentation
- 20-minute standalone presentation
- Roundtable discussion facilitator
- Technical Requirements: Any special equipment, set-up, or accessibility needs that we should consider.
Submission Deadline: February 10, 2026
Submission Instructions: Please submit your proposal using this form. Selected speakers will be notified by February 27, 2026. Meals and complimentary registration will be provided to all speakers during the summit. Transportation will not be provided.
