With an OhioNET membership, you receive:
Plus, our connection to libraries of all types and sizes offers a hub for information sharing, benchmarking and idea exchanging.
At OhioNET, we pride ourselves on meeting your needs so that you can meet the needs of the diverse populations you serve.
Q: What benefits come with an OhioNET membership?
A: Starting July 1, 2017, all members have the highest levels of discounts available to OhioNET on negotiated pricing for electronic resource licenses and equipment and supplies purchases. All members also have access to free webinar training events. In-person events are half-off the non-member rates.
We also have a Training Archive with recorded events from the past 12 months for on-demand use for those members who opt-in for that service or who have that benefit as part of their transition to the new model. We are working to roll out a new benefit, called OhioNET Community Collaboration Teams, this year as well.
Q: How are membership rates determined?
A: Starting on July 1, 2017 OhioNET membership rates are tiered, based on your organization’s materials budget.
Q: What is this new tiered structure for membership?
A: The new membership structure is tiered on collection budgets, as members share that information with the State Library or IPEDS for statistical reporting. In the lack of publicly reported data, self-reported data is used to determine the appropriate tier:
|Level||Materials Budget||Membership Fee|
|Level 1||from $0 to $500,000||$500|
|Level 2||from $500,001 to $1,000,000||$1000|
|Level 3||from $1,000,001 to $2,000,000||$2000|
|Level 4||over $2,000,001||$3000|
Q: Whom should I contact with questions about OhioNET membership?
