Cataloging and Copyright Basics are back!

Build a strong foundation in cataloging and copyright with our introductory sessions in early 2021. Explore the basics of these important topics and prepare yourself for more advanced content in both the Fundamentals of Cataloging training track and the Copyright in Action webinar series.

Copyright questions are common in library land and staying up to date with details and current legal requirements is essential. We strongly recommend attending this session as a foundation for the remainder of the series. Attendees will discuss what is/isn’t copyrightable (including exceptions!), ownership and duration of copyright, author’s rights, and infringement pitfalls. This session will be led by Carla Myers (Miami University Libraries).
