Beyond Business: How to Lead a Trauma-Informed Supervision Meeting

Description

One-on-one supervision meetings or check-ins are an integral part of any healthy supervisor-employee relationship. It provides time for staff to share concerns, and for supervisors to provide advice, mentorship, and feedback. However, most supervisors are ill-equipped to lead these meetings, which can often lead to a discussion which feels more like an interrogation than an important opportunity to connect with one’s superior.

In this training session, we’ll discuss the difference between supervision meetings and staff counseling sessions, and how to conduct both from a trauma-informed, empathetic perspective.
