  • 1 CE Hour

Description

Beautiful libraries signal to our patrons that we care about their experience. We want our patrons to be inspired, captivated, and delighted by everything our libraries have to offer. Creating interesting book displays and maintaining a unified visual approach can increase discovery, circulation, and encourage repeat visitors. Visual Merchandising is key to this experience and should be a vital part of every library worker’s skill set. Simply put, enticing book displays are good customer service.

In this webinar, you will learn more about the importance of Visual Merchandising and the principles of design, and how you can use these principles to enhance your collections and displays. Drawing from bookstore models, you will learn practical tips and techniques to create patron-first displays in your own libraries that emphasize abundance and encourage discovery. Intended for all library workers, this webinar will focus on incorporating Visual Merchandising in everything from display maintenance to collection strategy.
