Candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited American Library Association institution and a minimum of six years public library experience with progressive levels of responsibility and supervision or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Medina County District Library is looking for an energetic, friendly, progressive and dynamic, community minded leader to provide support, leadership and oversight to public services in six library locations, Family History and Learning Center, and Outreach Services. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic, public service-oriented with excellent management skills and a commitment to the core values of librarianship. This position will assist the library director with the management and leadership of the organization, assuming the role and responsibilities of the director in the director’s absence. The Assistant Director is part of a team that establishes and monitors objectives toward the achievement of the library’s vision.
