Job Description: Ohio University Libraries seeks a creative media specialist to oversee the Alden Library multimedia center, a technology hub that supports student media creation. This position supervises multimedia peer tutors and provides expertise on the use of relevant software and hardware, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, Audacity, Garage Band, in support of student creative media projects. This position also assists library visitors with directional, research, circulation, and technology questions in-person, via chat, and on the telephone. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for technology and the initiative to secure other skills through self-learning, training, and personal research.
Wage
$16.84 – $21.48
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Extensive experience in libraries/museums and advanced understanding of library/museum policies and procedures typically obtained by a high school degree and a minimum of 3 years of related library experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.
Specific knowledge, certifications, and licensure will apply at the position level.
