Euclid Public Library is accepting applications for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and creative addition to our team. The successful candidate must be passionate about providing an exceptional library experience for teens and children. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities for this position include: providing reference service to patrons in-person, by phone, email, and online chat, connecting patrons with library resources, preparing and presenting library programs, conducting school visits, and collection development.

Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00am-5:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:45pm-9:00pm, alternating Fridays (8:00am-5:00pm) and Saturdays (8:30am-5:00pm). Some Sundays on a volunteer basis, October to May. Scheduled Sunday time is above and beyond the regular 40-hour schedule. This schedule is not flexible but subject to change based on the needs of the library.
Wage
21.70/hr
Required Qualifications
Qualifications: MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program required; knowledge of youth literature and popular culture useful; proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; valid Ohio driver’s license required by the end of the probationary period; the ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn about books and resources for children of all ages.
