Euclid Public Library is accepting applications for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and creative addition to the Youth Services Department. Successful candidates must be passionate about providing an exceptional library experience for teens and children. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities for this position include: providing reference service to patrons in-person, by phone, and email, connecting patrons with library resources, preparing and presenting library programs, conducting school visits, and developing the juvenile nonfiction and eBook collections.
Schedule:
Mondays and Thursdays 8:00am-5:00pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12:45pm-9:00pm, alternating Fridays (8:00am-5:00pm) and Saturdays (8:30am-5:00pm). Some Sunday’s on a volunteer basis starting October to May. Scheduled Sunday time is above and beyond the regular 40-hour schedule.

Required Qualifications
Qualifications:
MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program required; knowledge of youth literature and popular culture helpful; valid Ohio driver’s license required by the end of the probationary period
