APA Publishing: Pricing Updates for APA Books E-Collections & Handbooks

Description: APA Publishing has revamped their pricing schedules for both the APA Books E-Collections and the APA Handbooks in Psychology Series. APA’s perpetual access service fee policy has also been updated.

All APA Books E-Collections from 2001-2017 have been heavily discounted; 2001-2014 are discounted by 50% and 2015-2017 are now discounted by 30%. Libraries that purchase multiple E-Collections or Handbooks are eligible for additional quantity discounts. 

APA has made the decision to terminate annual perpetual access service fees. Libraries with existing databases on APA’s PsycNet platform will no longer pay annual service fees for Handbooks or E-Collections, and will only pay the one-time content fee for any new acquisitions. Libraries that have never owned APA Handbooks or E-Collections will be subject to a one-time $99 service fee, unless they already have a database on APA’s PsycNet.
