Ohio’s summer heat persists, but we’re already thinking of autumn…don’t miss these newest additions to our fall training events!
Thursday, 10/21 | 2-3 p.m.
Presenters: Stephanie Dawson-Everett & Joshua Grove (The University of Akron) and Michelle Lustig (Springshare)
As we plan for an ever-changing future, it’s important to ensure your library keeps its virtual doors open. In this webinar, we’ll explore the features of a popular and useful set of digital information tools from Springshare: LibCal and LibAnswers. Many libraries have turned to these products (especially during the last 18 months) to help manage virtual contact with their communities.
Thursday, 11/4 | 2-3:30 p.m.
Presenter: Desiree Thomas (Worthington Libraries)
Studies often show that once kids and young adults lose interest in reading, it is extremely hard to get them back into this life-changing habit. Providing interesting diverse titles with subjects from different backgrounds can help keep reluctant readers engaged. In this session, attendees will explore a wide variety of resources and titles to encourage and support reluctant or struggling readers to keep them on the path to lifelong readership.
